How to use a vacuum drying oven? This problem may be briefly summarized in the following video:

In general, the specific operation steps are divided into two parts:
1. We make the interior of the vacuum-drying oven in a vacuum state.
2. In a vacuum state, we carry out various drying activities.

I.Preparation before use:

1. Place the equipment in a clean, flat, and well-ventilated place, and lock the front casters.
2. Put the materials to be dried into the working room, close the vacuum drying oven door and tighten the handle.

II. Make the drying oven in a vacuum state.

Step 1: Connect the drying oven to the power supply.
Step 2: Connect to the vacuum pump pipe.
Step 3: Adjust the pressure relief valve. We must adjust the vent to more than 90 °
Step 4: Switch on the vacuum valve and vacuum pump, the vacuum pump starts to work, and we can hear the noise of the vacuum pump.
Step 5: Wait until the pressure is down(We can pay attention to the pressure gauge), then switch off the vacuum pump and valve. Now the interior of the vacuum drying oven is in a vacuum state or similar to the vacuum state.

FAQs of the vacuum state step

(1). I can hear the noise of the vacuum pump working, but the pressure gauge does not move or moves very slowly:
If such a problem happens, we should check if all the connecting pipes are connected well enough. According to our experience, more than 90% may be that the vacuum pipe needs to be tightly coupled. Of course, there is also a tiny probability that it is a problem with the vacuum gauge.
(2). I have yet to hear the noise of the vacuum pump.
We should check if all the devices are well connected to a power supply. If necessary, we can fill the working chamber with inert gas. (note that the gas pressure should be ≤ 0.1MPa during inflation).

III. Second step, how to control the temperature of the inner working chamber?

The most used part is the setting mode. We can do the following:
Step 6: Switch on the temperature control.
Step 7: Press the "Set" key once, and it displays "SP", which means in setting mode.
Step 8: Press the"△" key to set the temperature up and "▽" to set the temperature down. Press the "△" key or "▽" to set up or down the temperature continuously. We can press the "<" key to move the digital position.
Step 9: Press the "Set" key again to run the setting parameters.

IV. After Vacuum Drying:

1. After drying, turn off the power supply of the vacuum drying oven, and rotate the air release valve sleeve to relieve the vacuum of the working chamber(In the opposite direction to the start of screwing)
2. Wait until room temperature and open the door to remove the drying material.
Sometimes, we may need more time to get drying material. Suppose the material is heat sensitive, easily decomposed, and easily oxidized substances. In that case, the user has to wait until room temperature to relieve the vacuum working state and then open the door. The user must heat insulation gloves to keep safety.
If we can not open the door, please do not open the door by force. In most cases, the exterior of the working chamber is at standard atmospheric pressure. Still, the inner pressure to low, and we can not open the door due to the enormous pressure, so the user should check if the valve relief valve is turned in the right direction. If the door is opened by force, it is dangerous to the users.

V. Other operation details:

State 1: "SP" state: setting mode.
In the setting mode, if nothing is done in this mode for more than 1 minute, the controller will go back to its normal state.
State 2: "ST" state: constant temperature mode.
When the inner of the working temperature reaches the set temperature, it will run into the constant temperature mode. We can press the "Set" key to reset the new destination temperature. Press the "△" key to set the temperature up and "▽" to set the temperature down. Press the "△" key or "▽" to set up or down the temperature continuously. We can press the "<" key to move the digital position.
State 3: "LC" state: reference and setting of internal temperature parameters mode.
Long press the set key for about 3 seconds, and it will display "LC", we can set the parameter, and all the values will be saved automatically.

2. Timing setting

After setting the running temperature, we will have to set the timing. The timing range is 1-9999 minutes. If we want the vacuum drying oven to run continuously, we can set the running time value to "0000".

3. Application Scope of the Vacuum Drying Oven:

The vacuum drying oven is suitable for scientific research, medical treatment, factories, mines, and enterprises. It is specially designed to dry heat-sensitive, easily decomposed, and oxidized substances. It can fill inert gas into the working chamber, especially for fast drying some articles with complex ingredients.

4. System self-tuning

The system can be self-tuning when the temperature control effect is not ideal. In the process of self-tuning, the temperature will have a large overshoot. Please fully consider this factor before performing system self-tuning.
In the non-setting state, press and hold the "shift / self-tuning" key for 6 seconds to enter the system self-tuning program. The "run / at" indicator flashes. After the self-tuning, the indicator stops flashing. The controller will get a better system PID parameter, and the parameter values will be saved automatically. In the process of system self-tuning, long press the "shift / self-tuning" key for 6 seconds to stop the self-tuning program.
In system self-tuning, if there is an over-temperature alarm, the "ALM" alarm light does not light up, and the buzzer does not sound. Still, the heating alarm relay will be automatically disconnected. The "set" key is invalid during system self-tuning. In the process of system self-tuning, no matter whether there is a constant temperature time setting or not, the lower row of the display window of the controller always displays the temperature setting value.

VI. More Safety Precautions:

1. Put the vacuum drying oven in a clean, flat, and well-ventilated place. Both the inside and outside of the oven should be kept clean. It is forbidden to wipe the oven door's glass with a chemical solution, and flammable and explosive materials should not be around.
2. The power supply used must be well and effectively grounded.
3. A fuse is installed at the rear of the equipment's control panel. If the equipment is not powered on, check whether the fuse tube is intact first. When reviewing and replacing the fuse tube, please cut off the power supply and replace the fuse tube with the same model and specification.
4. After the vacuum is pumped, the vacuum valve should be closed first, and then the power supply of the vacuum pump should be closed to prevent the pump oil from pouring back into the room.
5. If inert gas needs to be filled, the pressure of the gas source should be at most 0.1MPa.
6. Be careful of scalding when taking out drying materials. If the material is easily oxidized, it must be cooled to room temperature before putting it in the air to avoid an oxidation reaction.
7. This equipment has no explosion-proof device. Please do not put flammable and explosive materials in.
8. Please turn off the power and relieve the vacuum when stopping use.
9. After drying, turn off the power supply of the vacuum drying oven, rotate the air release valve sleeve to relieve the vacuum of the working chamber, and then open the drying oven door to take out the drying materials.
10. If the controller's upper row of the display window displays "----", it indicates that the temperature sensor or the controller does not work. Please carefully check the temperature sensor and its wiring.
11. Don't hesitate to contact the manufacturer if there are any problems with the guarantee. Or the machine should be opened by an expert. We can still answer our user's concerns even after the warranty period.

VII. Transportation and Storage:

1. We must handle the vacuum drying oven carefully. Do not tilt or transport upside down.
2. Store the vacuum drying oven in a well-ventilated room with relative humidity not exceeding 80% and no corrosive gas.
