Separatory Funnel Rack
Total there are 2 kinds of separatory funnel racks:1.PP material 2.PVC material
PP separatory funnel rack features:
1.Good resistance to high and low temperature:the racks can be sterilized at the temperature above 100 ℃ and will not deform even at 150 ℃ without external force. The embrittlement temperature is - 35 ℃.
2.Good chemical stability:In addition to being eroded by concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, it is relatively stable to other chemical reagents,but low molecular weight aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons can soften and swell polypropylene.
3.Light weight,but high service life:The relative density is only 0.89-0.91, which is one of the lightest varieties of plastics in the world.Good chemical properties, almost no water absorption, and does not react with most chemicals.
4.Good electrical insulation:with the rise of temperature,still it can be used to make heated electrical insulation products.
PVC separatory funnel rack features:
1.Compared with PP separatory funnel racks,PVC racks poor stability to light and heat. The softening point is 80 ℃, and the decomposition begins at 130 ℃. When the stabilizer is not heated, PVC begins to decompose at 100 ℃, and decomposes faster above 130 ℃.
2.At normal temperature,PVC is has better chemical stability then PP material:Insoluble in water, alcohol and gasoline, with low gas and water vapor leakage; It can withstand hydrochloric acid of any concentration, sulfuric acid of less than 90%, nitric acid of 50-60% and caustic soda solution of less than 20% at room temperature, and has certain chemical corrosion resistance; It is quite stable to salts, but can be dissolved in organic solvents such as ether, ketone, chlorinated fatty hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon.
So for general use,we recommend PP separatory funnel rack,but if our user wants more chemical stability racks in normal temperatures,we recommend PVC material.
